If using this product as a toy for your pet, please read the following safety guidelines and recommendations-
1. Supervised Play: Always supervise your pet while they are playing with this toy. Even though it is crafted for durability, aggressive chewers might attempt to tear it apart.
2. Inspect Regularly: Before offering the toy to your pet, inspect it for any signs of damage. If the wool exterior becomes compromised, there's a risk of a choking hazard.
3. Size Matters: Ensure the toy is appropriate for your pet's size. Smaller breeds might find the toy too large or challenging to play with, while larger breeds may be more adept at tearing it.
4. Not for Consumption: Teach your pet that toys are for play, not consumption. If your pet attempts to ingest any part of this toy, remove it immediately.
5. Storage: Store in a dry place when not in use to maintain the toy's quality.
6. Replacement: Like all pet toys, this product has a life span. Depending on your pet's play habits, the toy might wear out faster. Replace the toy once it shows significant signs of wear and tear.
Disclaimer: No pet toy is indestructible. Regularly inspect your pet's toys and replace them when they pose a safety risk. Wooliie is not liable for any damage or injury caused by misuse, abuse, neglect, or failure to follow the above safety guidelines
Thank you for choosing an eco-friendly option for your pet's playtime! Your pet's safety and well-being are our top priorities.
To ensure the longevity and hygiene of your wool toy, follow these wash care instructions:
1. Spot Clean First: If your wool toy has minor stains or dirt spots, try spot cleaning before washing the entire toy. Dab the stained area gently with a clean, damp cloth and a mild detergent suitable for wool. Avoid scrubbing vigorously, as it can damage the fibers.
2. Hand Wash (Recommended): For more thorough cleaning, hand washing is usually the best option: Fill a basin or sink with cool water (around 85°F or 30°C). Avoid hot water, as extreme temperatures can cause the wool to shrink or lose its shape. Add a small amount of mild wool-specific detergent to the water. Ensure it's designed for delicate wool fabrics. Submerge the wool toy in the soapy water and gently agitate it. Do not wring, stretch, or twist the toy. Allow the toy to soak for about 10-15 minutes. Rinse the toy thoroughly with cold water until all detergent is removed.
3. Machine Washing (If Needed): Use a gentle cycle with cold water. Use a mild wool-specific detergent. Place the wool toy in a pillowcase or a mesh laundry bag to protect it from friction and potential damage. After the cycle is complete, remove the toy promptly to prevent excessive wrinkling.
4. Avoid Aggressive Agitation: Whether hand washing or machine washing, avoid excessive agitation, squeezing, or wringing, as this can cause the wool fibers to stretch or pill.
5. Drying: Lay the wet wool toy on a clean, dry towel, reshaping it to its original form. Roll up the towel with the toy inside and gently press to remove excess water. Avoid twisting or wringing. Unroll the towel and transfer the toy to a clean, dry, flat surface. Allow the toy to air dry away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Reshape the toy as needed while it dries to maintain its original shape.
6. Storage: Store your clean and dry wool toy in a cool, dry place. Protect it from moths by using cedar toys or sachets and a Wooliie dust bag. Keep it in a container or Wooliie dust bag when not in use to prevent dust and dirt buildup.
By following these wash care instructions, your wool toy will remain clean and ready for safe play.
